We are seeking an experienced tradesperson to join our maintenance team as a Leading Hand Electrician at Dugald River.

Roster on Offer - 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster,
FIFO - Flights available from Brisbane and Townsville, accommodation & meals provided.
- Ensure the safe and efficient completion of all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
- Take directions from Supervisor, and if that person is absent, be able to direct the crew independently
- Ensure all work allocated for the crew is carried out and all work is done to a high safety standard
- Achieves safe, timely and cost effective electrical installation and maintenance for the project
- Conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards
- Provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices
- Prepare shift reports detailing work performed
We are looking for.
- Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment(preferable)
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current working at heights qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment
- Experience in high voltage work
- Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
- Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks
- The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities
