About the Role

Redpath Australia is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Tax Manager to lead our direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role will oversee tax reporting, international compliance, and transfer pricing, while supporting audits, managing tax risk, and ensuring alignment with evolving legislation. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external advisers, lead tax forecasting and tax effect accounting, and drive strategic insights across budgeting and KPI frameworks.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective planning and execution of local tax compliance requirements, including preparation and review of tax returns by managing internal and external resources.
  • Supporting tax audits with close collaboration with local finance teams.
  • Oversee international tax compliance, including withholding and reclaim processes
  • Monitor legislative changes and maintain robust tax risk controls
  • Prepare tax notes for statutory accounts and assist with audits
  • Managing financial and functional analysis to determine transfer pricing implications of related party transactions, preparing the proper documentation in accordance with the local rules.
  • Perform quarterly tax effect accounting calculations
  • Provide tax forecasts as part of the budget and forecast process.
  • Liaising across internal stakeholders and external advisers to ensure compliance with local jurisdictions and assesses areas of risk.
  • Identifying potential tax issues, performs research, and make recommendations to prevent & resolve tax issues.
  • Assisting and often owning ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA or CA qualifications.
  • 7-10 years accounting experience.
  • Strong ability to provide authoritative professional specialist advice on Tax issues;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of taxation (income tax, fringe benefits tax and goods & services tax) as it applies to a company;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of professionals;
  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
