Prepare analysis of projects to include preliminary methodology, equipment selection calculations, life cycle cost, labour efficiencies
Visit site and record information about the overall Mine, conditions, management, availability of services such as water and electricity
Review labour and Engineering requirements, to decide the most cost-effective solution.
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Enter production rates
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
Analyse blueprints and other documentation to prepare the tender build up estimates
Prepare and maintain a directory of Engineering suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
Conduct post tender analysis on lost bids to ascertain whether our bid was competitive, met the Clients requirements, and an alternative approach that could be used
Assist sites by answering queries relating to Engineering
