Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving the reliability and performance of equipment, systems, and processes. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain reliability programs to improve asset performance and uptime.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on critical equipment failures.
- Use data-driven approaches (e.g., Weibull analysis, reliability-centered maintenance) to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Track and analyze asset performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and reliability reports.
- Provide guidance on spare parts strategy and criticality assessments.
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
- Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.
- Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, engineering, or a similar role.
Knowledge Required:
- Strong knowledge of reliability tools and methodologies (e.g., RCA, FMEA, RCM).
- Proficient in CMMS systems and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Oracle Experience a plus
- Certifications like CMRP or CRE are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of the mining industry (Surface of Underground) environment preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, or TPM.
- Hands-on experience with condition monitoring tools and technologies.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.

Working Conditions, Physical and Mental Demands:
- Site office based, requiring work in other areas on the site including surface and underground work areas.
- Outside of office environment will experience exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials, dust, equipment noise and noticeable risk in surface and underground mining operations.
- Site work requires physical activity such as walking on uneven ground, climbing, and wearing additional personal protective equipment.
- Mental and physical effort to deal with multiple deadlines, accuracy, multi-tasking, problem solving, presenting information to a group.
