About the Project
Olympic Dam Mine, operated by the largest mining company in the world, BHPB is approximately 550km North-West of Adelaide mining copper, gold and uranium. Redpath provide the safe delivery of development, ground support, services and equipment maintenance through the utilisation of 40 major items of plant, 3 maintenance workshops and specialist modern tooling. As the largest contractor on site you will gain valuable experience to help grow your career.
The role involves
- Unload and load trucks carrying freight;
- maintain the surface lay down area and underground workshop stores area to ensure it is kept in a tidy and usable state at all times;
- ensure the mining consumables are kept at sustainable levels;
- carry out pick-ups and deliveries to town;
- comply with all site safety regulations;
- ensure housekeeping around workshop and warehouse is kept at a good standard;
- conduct stocktakes as required;
- ensure all rubbish and recyclables from lay down yard, workshop and warehouse are disposed of in the appropriate bins on site;
- attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required;
- working a 9/5 roster, 12hr shifts
We are looking for
- current first aid & CPR qualifications;
- ability to identify all types of mining consumables used on site;
- current working at heights qualification;
- valid manual drivers licence;
- A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider in done — safely.
