Role Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled Loader (LHD) Operator to safely and efficiently operate underground loaders in line with site procedures and shift supervisor instructions. The ideal candidate will also assist with other equipment operations to support maximum site productivity. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operate LHD machines safely and efficiently in underground mining operations. 

• Manage truck movements and ensure proper loading, safety, and housekeeping standards. 

• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and pre-start inspections. 

• Participate in daily shift meetings and contribute to a safe working environment. 

• Support training and skills development of local site personnel. 

• Report equipment maintenance issues and shift completion status. 

• Uphold Redpath’s code of conduct and safety-first principles at all times.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience, including at least 2 years experience operating loader in underground rapid development. 

• Experience operating Sandvik Loader, LH621i will be an added advantage. 

• Valid Class C driver’s license (MR license preferred for bus operation). 

• First Aid & CPR certification. 

• Knowledge of key safety and operational procedures, including hazard reporting, emergency response, and safe mine driving. 

• Physical ability to meet the demands of underground work, including prolonged sitting, manual handling, and climbing ladders. 

• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
