Matric certificate/ equivalent

Blasting certificate

Competent person A and B

Supervisory certificate will be advantageous

5 years’ experience as a Development Miner

Load Haul Dumper & Drill Rig (Sandvik)

Dover coordination test

Pass Mine medical

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Experience in the development of large excavation

Knowledge of inclined and horizontal development

Effective communication skills

Knowledge of conventional and trackless development

Knowledge of hydropower

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Declaring a workplace safe according to the Minerals Act and Regulations

Compliance to Supervision points

Ordering of material/ explosives

Ensure machines are in good condition

Delegate responsibilities, Workplace safety meetings and completion of DSTI

Marking off face, enforce drilling discipline, correct support and hazard identification

Conducting risk assessments for each new task to be done

Achieving production targets

Adherence to TMM traffic management system

Accurate reporting and adhere to POLC (Planning, Organizing, Lead and Control)
