  About Lady Loretta

  This is your opportunity to join the Redpath team at the world class Lady Loretta Mine, approximately 140km North-West of Mt Isa, where Redpath is responsible for all facets of the mining operation. The operation consists of approximately 250 employees producing approximately 1.6Mtpa from the underground mining operation. The scope of work covers the whole operation from underground mining to crushing and loading of road trains. The Lady Loretta Operation has been set up using industry-leading technology and Redpath have continued these standards with mobilisation of new equipment with an emphasis on technology to support safe and efficient production outcomes.
   

     About the role

• Reporting to the Brisbane based General Manager – Metalliferous, you will be responsible for our Lady Loretta Mine operations. Flights will be available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns and the roster is 9 days on, 5 days off. In this role, you will:

   

• manage the Lady Loretta site operations, ensuring compliance in all areas;
• oversee the recruitment, training and development of personnel for the Lady Loretta project;
• ensure effective financial management of projects, project profitability and cost control;
• effectively set project strategies, plan and coordinate resources, employees and operations;
• direct, monitor and lead employees in the development and implementation of work plans to achieve objectives and compliance with Redpath policies and procedures;
• oversee the health, safety, training, quality and environmental management of the project
• provide accurate and timely reporting related to the Lady Loretta project to both the Client and Redpath

• monitor the Lady Loretta project compliance and accountabilities, implementing controls when required; and

• develop and maintain a climate of innovation where all employees can challenge work methods to improve safety, productivity and profitability;

Skills & Experience

• Qld Site Senior Executive (Underground) ticket and First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Underground Metalliferous)
• outstanding people management and leadership skills in a large project environment;
• solid commercial skills and experience in managing budgets, costs and resource management;
• outstanding customer relations management skills;
• experienced in the utilisation of Risk Management tools;
• superior problem solving and adaptability;
• strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Word and Excel;
• strong safety, quality and customer focus;
• strong interpersonal, leadership, conflict resolution and team skills;
• ability to manage and develop subordinates;
• solid planning and organisational skills;
• attention to detail ensuring all standards and compliance are met;
• a drive for continuous improvement & LEAN processes;
• valid manual drivers licence;
• a work ethic in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done - Safely.
