Current MSHA 40 hour

Bachelor degree in Mining, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license (preferred)

5 years’ experience working in an underground hard rock mine

Advanced understanding of mine regulations

Understanding of work related procedures and standards

Ability to lead risk assessments

Ability to conduct risk assessment of specific task

Ability to multi task and work safely and effectively

Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

Ability to recognize and resolve problems as required

Ability to adapt to a varying work environment often requiring the employee to develop new and innovative work methods
