About the Project

This is your chance to join the Redpath George Fisher Mine team in an exciting role. The Glencore George Fisher Zinc Mine is located 20km from Mount Isa, close to local amenities and a family friendly community environment. The role will offer you the opportunity to progress your career in a small team environment where safety leadership and performance is valued. Redpath are industry leaders in underground ground support, with the George Fisher contract contributing to the 15,000m3 of shotcrete applied and the 35,000m of cablebolts installed by Repath around Australia each month.

The role involves

• provide a high standard of service focusing on the application of primary ground support to a standard that exceeds the sites quality assurance compliance;
• participate in maintaining the batch plant and surrounding areas to a high standard;
• ensure machinery used is cleaned and presented for service regularly and any mechanical issues or damage is reported immediately;
• accurately complete all required daily activity and safety reporting as directed;
• Working a 2/1 roster, 12hr shifts

We are looking for

• previous experience with the operation of Jacon and Normet spraymech machinery in an underground environment;
• previous experience with the operation of Agitator trucks, batch plants and associated machinery;
• current G1 Safety Induction - Metalliferous Core & Underground;
• the ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
• Valid manual drivers licence 
• Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
• A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider in done — safely.
