About the Project
This is your opportunity to join the Redpath team at the world class Lady Loretta Mine, approximately 140km North-West of Mt Isa, whereby Redpath are responsible for all facets of the mining operation. The Lady Loretta Operation has been set up using industry leading technology, and Redpath have continued these standards with mobilisation of new equipment with an emphasis on technology to support safe and efficient production outcomes.
The role involves
- interpret plans and record explosive usage for all types of firing undertaken;
- magazine stock management and accurate record keeping;
- identify and remedy misfires;
- complete thorough re-entries to work areas;
- charge development headings;
- undertake stope preparation, charging and ring hook up;
- ensure all materials are used and all waste is disposed of in the environmentally approved manner;
- ensure security over explosives;
- Working a 2/2 roster, 12hr shifts
We are looking for
- minimum 3 years experience in a underground mine environment;
- be able to and prepared to operate other mobile plant when required;
- ability to hold and maintain a Queensland Blasters licence;
- valid manual drivers licence;
- current First Aid & CPR qualifications;
- current working at heights qualification;
- Valid manual drivers licence
- National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
- Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
