Rotation: 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off
Shift Length: 12 hours

Travel: Flights provided from point of hire to job site

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Promote and enforce client’s Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards.
- Oversee work to ensure client’s quality and productivity targets are achieved.
- Direct the work to achieve necessary production rates sufficient to meet project schedule.
- Ensure adequate training and skill levels are achieved within the allocated workforce to complete project to the required specifications
- Coordinate the activities of supervisors, non-staff work force and of client engineering, survey, mechanical and all other support groups to achieve the required production, safety and quality standards.
- Monitor performance of the work to ensure budget targets are met for material consumption and project costs.
- Actively participate and comply with the site leadership program, record and report the results of the inspections and implement corrective actions as required to minimize risks/hazards
- Attend at pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Mining Engineer
- Minimum 15 years’ Experience in Underground Mining production including several years in leadership roles.
- Experience in a high-speed single heading development environment and training of work forces within an underground environment
- Be highly driven to achieve project targets, safely and efficiently;
- Proven history of successfully supervising and safely guiding multiple crews through hazardous work projects.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate multifaceted situations to determine the safe and productive methods for completion of the work.
- Ability to promote an attitude of teamwork and cooperation between the various components of the tunneling workforce.
- Strong leadership skills earning the respect of management and subordinates.
