Redpath is the world’s premier full-service underground mining contractor. Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for 1 x Logistics Coordinator for the new Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project.

 

Open to citizens of Botswana only.

Basic function of the position:

The role of the Logistics Coordinator is to be responsible for liaise with suppliers and transport companies to ensure on time deliveries of goods; maintain the stores budget, be able to sensibly maintain capital levels of stock and forecast changes to meet maintenance demands; manage the stores team on a day to day basis; ensure ongoing effective people management of the stores team by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training. Submit new contractor, non-listed asset and requests for new supplier, plant transfer, purchase orders as required. Ensure inventory moves to and from site in an efficient and cost effective manner. Participate in ICAM investigations as required. Conduct Workplace Inspections (eg Take 5's/TTTCs) and JSA's when required.

Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Logistics and Warehousing;
  • Identify and promote suggestions to increase productivity and/or reduce operating costs
  • Inventory Reconciliation
  • Purchasing & Supply of Equipment and supplies for Mine
  • Maintaining Equipment Registers and Certification Databases
  • Maintaining and updating of supplies and documentation
  • Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management,
  • Reporting, Planning and Forecasting for planned maintenance and project requirements. Estimation skills are advantageous.
  • Supporting and collaborating with Management to support the Operations.
  • Previous experience overseeing Procurement / logistics across multiple jurisdictions is highly regarded.
