Redpath USA Corporation a premier full-service underground mining contractor is in search of an enthusiastic mission driven Safety and Training Coordinator to join our team.
Project, Kennecott Copper Mine, Salt Lake City Area
In this position you will Assist the Corporate HSET Manager in facilitating and tracking the hearing conservation program, respiratory program, fatality prevention program and safety program. You will assist in creating, maintaining and tracking safety, training, ATF records, and pertinent safety related information. You will also perform administrative duties and responsibilities associated with safety and training for KUC Operations.
Compensation: Redpath USA Corporation offers very competitive and comprehensive wages, benefits and a 5-percent 401 (k) Safe Harbor match. This position pay is $21.00 to $24.00 an hour.
Travel: Travel to off-site mine operations as required.
Conditions of Employment: Acceptable results relating to mandatory drug test, background check, medical physical and compliance with Redpath health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Preferred experience in the safety and training fields.
- High School Diploma or equivalent,
- Operate office equipment including fax, copier, scanner, printer, mail labeling/shipping and binding machines.
- Ability to work independently to carry out tasks after collaborating on effort.
- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable taking initiative and “managing up” to ensure tasks stay on track.
- Supportive of public safety and first responders.
- Skilled using business productivity and task management platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related computer skills.
- Multi-tasker that works with a sense of urgency.
- Solid attendance and punctuality, desire to cross train.
- Must be detail-oriented, and a team player.
