About the Project
This is your chance to join the Cannington team which forms part of the broader South32 Cannington underground operation, 200km from Cloncurry in North-West Queensland. The Cannington Redpath team is over 120 personnel strong and benefit from the job security that comes from a long standing contractual relationship spanning more than 20 years! A near new haulage fleet consisting of primarily CAT equipment handle over 3 million tonnes per annum, while the Redpath crushing plant screens up to 10,000 tonne per day.
The role involves
- Working a 7 & 7 roster, 12hr shifts
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to fleet of underground mobile plant
- Fault finding repairing and/or replacing components as required
- Maintaining plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and site requirements
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop
We are looking for
- A heavy-duty diesel fitter/mechanic trade qualification
- Experience working with underground mining equipment, specifically Sandvik range
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
- Valid manual drivers licence
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
