Main duties and responsibilities:

• Install and repair underground pipelines, sewer lines, and water mains.
• Dig trenches using hand and machine trenching tools and prepare the ground for pipe installation.
• Handle, position, and align pipes, ensuring proper slope, grade, and connection.
• Connect pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, depending on the pipe material, and seal joints.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and implementing safety measures.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment and refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Clean up the job site and ensure it is free from debris and hazards.
• Work effectively with other crew members, supervisors, and project managers.

Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:

• Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid & CPR certificate.
• 2 years’ experience operating excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment.
• Operate the Integrated Tool (IT) carrier
