MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent

Section 13 or Section 26D Electrical Trade Test

Supervisory qualification would be advantageous

Medium Voltage/High Voltage Certificate

Competent B certification is advantageous

Computer literate

Valid drivers’ license Code 08

Must pass Dover Test

Must pass Underground Medical

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

5 years’ experience as appointed Foreman in mining underground and contracting industry (Electrical)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing and coordinating electrical activities.

Supervising electrical team.

Ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Managing the maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure and equipment.

Assigning tasks and training of employees.

Inspecting work and performance equipment installation and maintenance.

Collaborating with engineers in planning and commissioning projects.

Ensure that the asset management system is complied with

Assist in conducting failure analysis studies and recommend alternative strategies for maintenance.
