MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate or equivalent

Procurement qualification

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field will be an advantage

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory software

A valid driver’s license

Medically fit to work underground

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

5 years’ proven experience as a Buyer or similar role

Strong understanding of inventory management

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Effective communication and negotiation skills

Procurement knowledge in the Mining industry

Effective communication skill

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Interact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products

Check production schedules and deadlines and adjust them as needed

Monitor and manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary

Track orders and ensure they are fulfilled in a timely manner

Prepare and maintain detailed reports on materials and equipment status.

Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to the supplier

Track inventory and ensure the stock is adequate

Resolve issues related to delayed shipments or unexpected changes in the supply chain
