MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent

Agitator Operator Certificate (OEM / registered training provider)

TMM skill program certificate

A valid Dover results

Competent B

Valid driver’s license with PDP

Valid medical certificate of fitness to work underground.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1 year experience as an Agitator Operator in an underground mine

2 years of experience on an underground mining site as a PTV / Nipper or similar role

Knowledge of concrete additives and aggregates

Understanding of various concrete products and mixes for different applications.

Knowledge of Mine and Safety Act.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct pre-start checks and ensure agitator truck is roadworthy before operating.

Transport shotcrete/concrete from the batch plant to work fronts safely and efficiently.

Comply with delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues promptly.

Monitor mix quality during transit; maintain barrel rotation and water content as needed.

Accurately record load details, delivery times, and product volumes using designated systems or delivery dockets.

Wash down and clean the agitator barrel and truck at the end of each shift or as required.

Ensure trucks are adequately fueled at start or shift or end of shift as required.
