MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate / equivalent

Section 13 Trade Test Certificate or Sectio 26D Certificate – Electrical Trade

3 years’ traceable experience as a qualified electrical related artisan on Earthmoving or TMM equipment

3 years’ traceable experience as appointed Supervisor / Foreman in underground mining (Electrical)

Must have competent B

Applicable legislation knowledge

Computer Literacy

Valid driver’s license – Code 8

Medically Fit

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Trackless machinery or Heavy earth moving machinery operations and maintenance thereof

Equipment installation, operation and maintenance in underground conventional and trackless mining sections

People management experience that enables the team to perform to their full potential

Project Management skills

Have a good understanding of LCM (Life Cycle Management)

Scheduling and prioritizing maintenance requirements

Planning for spares and equipment

Be able to implement set Engineering related systems and procedures without any compromises

Excellent in fault finding

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing and coordinating electrical activities

Compliance and implement standards, procedures and working guidelines

Managing the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

Assigning relevant tasks and training of employees where necessary

Monitor and review equipment and machinery performance

Communicate effectively in the workplace

Manage SHEQ standards in the workplace

Implement appropriate corrective measures

Conduct failure analysis and recommend alternative strategies for improvement

Ensure electrical system is safe and effective for requirements
