We are currently hiring for experienced Underground Jumbo Operators to join our Freeport Indonesia Project in Central Papua. With flights provided from your point of hire to site, choose between an 8/4 or 6/3 roster, with 12-hour shifts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Drilling and bolting of incline, decline, drift and mass excavation; primarily face drilling
• Ground support, consisting of bolt and mesh
• Identify and remedy misfires
• Conduct prestart checks of equipment and drill site.
• Monitor and operate the drill rig control panel.
• Read and follow worksheets and drill patterns
• Ensure that work is carried out through adherence to specifications, schedules, and standards
• Training of national employees
Skills and Certificates Required:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Underground Jumbos (preferably Sandvik D422i series)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Copies of relevant RPLs or VOCs
• Familiar with hard rock mining techniques
• Be safety-focused and have a positive can-do attitude
• Must have extensive experience in a high-speed development environment
• Be highly driven to achieve project targets, safely and efficiently
