Redpath USA Corporation, a premier full-service underground mining contractor, is searching  for a qualified Shipper/Receiver with logistics mining experience to join our team. Preference given to local candidates.

 

Project:  South 32 Hermosa Mine

Location: Patagonia, AZ

Job Description:

 

The primary responsibilities of this role include coordinating shipments, receiving incoming goods, and ensuring the efficient flow of products through the supply chain, maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking delivery timelines, and optimizing the overall logistics process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Shipping coordination with carriers and purchasing team to schedule deliveries.
  2. Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
  3. Record and update inventory systems with received quantities.
  4. Communicate with purchasing team to contact suppliers and resolve discrepancies in received goods.
  5. Inventory Management to maintain accurate inventory records.
  6. Monitor stock levels and collaborate with purchasing departments to reorder as necessary.
  7. Coordinate the transportation of goods between different locations.
  8. Track shipments in transit and address any issues or delays.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  10. Provide updates on shipment status, delays, and other relevant information.
  11. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
  12. Ensure that shipped and received products meet quality standards.
  13. Report and address any damages or discrepancies promptly.
  14. Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines in shipping, receiving, and storage activities.
  15. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  16. Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards.
  17. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
  18. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  19. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
  20. Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
  21. Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  22. Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations, if required.
  23. Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.

Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Post secondary education or certification in logistics preferred.

 

Work Experience:

  1. 0ne (1) to two (2) experience working in a logistic field with a concentration in heavy shipping and receiving.
  2. Surface and/or underground mining logistics experience preferred.


Working Conditions:

  1. Repetitive tasks require consistent attention to detail.
  2. Exposure to the majority of underground mining mobile equipment types and manufacturers.
  3. Exposure to vibrations, dirt, dust, high and/or low temperatures, loud noise and hazardous substances such as explosives.
  4. Varied and challenging work environments and in remote locations.
  5. Regular periods of extended physical exertion, walking (even and uneven surfaces), standing, lifting, kneeling, climbing, pulling, seeing, tactile sense, visual acuity (color, depth perception and field of vision), hearing, pushing, stooping, grasping, repetitive motion, etc.
  6. Bending and stooping to access items at different heights or within containers.
  7. Manual dexterity required to handle items.
  8. Work is done in the vicinity of working and moving equipment in both surface and underground mining environments.
  9. Requires a high level of alertness to detect and report various hazards.
  10. The ability to problem-solve, identify and address issues quickly, whether related to damaged goods, shipping delays, or inventory discrepancies.
  11. Exposure to deadlines, multiple demands, distractions and interruptions.
  12. Lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs. in weight.
