Analyses enquiry documents
Prepare analysis of projects to include preliminary methodology, equipment selection calculations, life cycle cost and labour efficiencies
Visit site and record information about the overall Mine, the conditions, management, availability of services such as water and electricity,
Review labour requirements and material, to decide the most cost-effective solution.
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Enter team sizes and production rates
Consult with stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates
Schedule & manage bidding process and coordinate role player input
Analyses blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates
Decide whether to price the enquiry in consultation with management by looking at tender workload and preliminary evaluation
Estimate BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
Compile and schedule reviews on tender clarifications
Keep record of tender amendments
Maintain good client relationships
Prepare project start-up documentation and handover tender documents to Site Management
Provide back up support to site management regarding tender
Accountability & liability for tender & associate documents
Update estimating resources
Conduct post tender analysis on lost bids to ascertain whether our bid was competitive, meet the Clients requirements, an alternative approach that could be used
Compile hand over documentation to the contracts team
Ensure all tender documents are stored for future reference
