The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating the electrical crews to achieve project electrical objectives and provides assistance to the Electrical Manager in resource allocation, systems, electrical task planning and scheduling.
The Role Involves

coordinate tasks, allocation of electrical installation, maintenance, testing and equipment repairs for the shift employees and provide supervision of these activities to ensure compliance with the Standard Work Procedures;

assist in the investigation of all accidents, incidents, hazard identification and similar events to determine causes and corrective action needed to prevent reoccurrence and complete the necessary reporting;

ensure electrical employees are utilising with the appropriate protective equipment and clothing to safely operate on site and complete their roles;

where required, perform hands on electrical duties including assemble, install from blueprints, sketches or diagrams, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and associated electrical controls;

ensure ongoing effective people management of the electrical team by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training;

prepare monthly cost forecasts and budgets based on planned maintenance requirements;

liaise with Client Representatives as required, in a professional manner.
We are looking for
-
Mechanical Trades Qualification or relevant Tertiary Qualifications;

experience in an underground mining environment;
-
Experience with managing a team of mechanical personnel;

Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
-
Able to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities

Ability to hold and maintain a national police clearance certificate;
-
Valid manual drivers licence;
-
A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
