MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent
Competent B Certificate is a pre-requisite and Competent A is advantageous
Medically fit
Valid First Aid Certificate

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
|
|
At least 3 years in a similar role
Basic trade knowledge of boilermaking
Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
Strong attention to details

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
|
Adhere to strict occupational Health and Safety regulations
Understanding and following instructions from diagram and blueprints
Assisting with welding operations and preparing metals for fabrication
Carrying tools, equipment, and materials to the work area
Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal equipment using hand tools, power tools and potentially flame cutting torch
Provide crucial support to the Boilermaker in fabrication, assembly, maintenance and repairs of boilers, tanks, and other large metal structures.
Good housekeeping.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
Assist Boilermaker to deal with defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and inspection reports
