Scraper Winch Operator’s Competency Certificate

Hydropower jetting gun (aqua jet)

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
|
|
At least 3 years’ experience in the field of service
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
Previous experience in inclined and horizontal development ends.
Previous experience in conventional and trackless development

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
|
Strict adhering to safety regulations and protocols, including identifying and addressing potential hazards
Moving and repositioning materials and equipment needed, which may include manual handling or use of machinery
Maintaining clear communication with team members, supervisors, and other personnel involved in the operations
Supporting the overall coordination of the mining operation, ensuring efficient ore flow and safe delivery of materials
Installation and maintenance of winch beds, barricades, and other related equipment
Starting and stopping the winch, regulating the cable speeds, and controlling the movement of the scraper
Ensuring effective cleaning of mining panels and gullies, including preparing the area for blasting in the next shift
Preforming daily inspections, testing, and basic maintenance of the scraper winch and related equipment
