About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Liaison Officer to serve as the vital link between our mining operations and surrounding communities. This role is central to ensuring open communication, strong relationships, and shared value between the mine and local stakeholders. You will play a key role in addressing community concerns, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening our social license to operate.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Liaison Officer, you will:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, leaders, government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with the company’s CSR and sustainability goals.

  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, forums, and consultations to share updates and gather feedback.

  • Address community concerns, inquiries, and complaints with professionalism and diplomacy.

  • Communicate company efforts in social responsibility, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Support community development programs and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and standards.

  • Assist in crisis communication and emergency response situations affecting the community.
  • Prepare reports, newsletters, and presentations on community relations and impacts.

 

Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or public relations (preferably in mining/natural resources).

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proven ability to work in cross-cultural environments and manage sensitive issues with diplomacy.

  • Knowledge of mining regulations, community development frameworks, and environmental practices.

  • Proficiency in public speaking, report writing, and stakeholder engagement tools.
