About the role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a safe and efficient maintenance operation for all raiseboring projects and maintaining compliance with the Health, Safety, Training, Environmental and Quality systems whilst providing leadership and coaching for the maintenance team

Key responsibilities

  • ensure the planning and execution of the repairs and maintenance of Redpath's Raisebore fleet;

  • provide regular updates on Raisebore fleet with General Manger - Raisebore and Operations Manager - Raisebore;

  • ensure all Raisebore maintenance staff have effective direction, supervision and coaching;

  • communicate the Health, Safety and Training compliance message, investigating ICAM accidents and identifying and managing risks as required;

  • submit asset disposal, management of change, capex, plant requests as required;

  • submit new contractor, non-listed asset, request for new supplier, plant transfer, purchase orders as required;

  • ensure systemation of breakdowns;

  • attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, maintenance meetings, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required

Role Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant Tertiary Qualifications;

  • experience in mechanical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment;

  • minimum of 10 years maintenance experience in an underground mining environment

  • ability to develop and build client and contractor relationships;

  • sound knowledge of managing and implementing project developments;

  • exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities;

  • sound knowledge of underground development and production in mining fields;

  • valid manual drivers licence, current First Aid and CPR certificates;

  • a drive for continuous improvement and contribute to an environment of innovation;
