MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate / equivalent

Mine Blasting Certificate

Mining background with 5 to 10 years’ experience

High degree of computer literacy in survey / geological software packages

Computer literate and conversant on MS Office

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio, Outlook

Must be a South African citizen

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Working knowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act & Regulations

Knowledge of underground stope and development planning is essential

Must be conversant with mining layouts and ventilation

Knowledge of trackless machinery

Knowledge and experience on Sublevel caving

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Short (3 to 12 month’s) and long-term scheduling on the required Software through liaising with the respective Managers / Mine Overseer of the sections.

Control quality of short-term planning processes

Updating development priority plans

Analysing and reporting of variances, from plans to actual

Assist in optimisation of the relevant areas.

Assist in block modelling / reporting.

Compiling reports from Mine scheduling plans.

Creation and implementation of a Business Plan to meet the strategic targets of the shaft

Ensure effective maintenance of layouts and new designs

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve project performance

Analyse and interrogate data to identify optimisation opportunities

Actively participate with client initiatives to improve overall project performance
