MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate / equivalent

National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Chamber of Mines Survey Certificate

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in underground (development environment preferred)

Proficiency in mine surveying software(s)

Strong understanding of survey instruments

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in mining

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct underground development surveys and setting out in accordance with mine plan

Maintain accurate survey records, plans, and databases

Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and company standards

Provide survey control and alignment for development ends

Verify and measure underground development progress

Produce and update plans, sections, and reports

Identify and report deviations from approved designs

Collaborate with mining, geology, and engineering teams

Assist with volumetric calculations and reconciliations.

Compliance to section 22 and 23 of MHSA
