MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent

Certified competent Magni operator

Accredited training in lifting equipment operations

Valid Driver’s license

Medically fit for underground

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

At least 3 years’ experience in a Mining environment

Experience in trackless mining machinery and earthmoving equipment

Risk assessment and hazard identification

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance

Situation awareness and Safety consciousness

Lifting and material handling.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct daily pre-use inspections and mid-shift inspections of the Magni and associated attachments

Safely operate the Magni to load, transport, and off-load materials, equipment, and supplies.

Remove and install buckets, cages, forks, and other attachments as required for operational needs

Ensure loads are secured and lifted within the machine’s rated capacity

Monitor surrounding area for pedestrians, vehicles, and obstacles while operating equipment

Maintain safe working distance and ensure clear communication with spotters and team members

Report defects, incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions immediately

Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure equipment is clean and serviceable

Complete all required inspection and operational documentation accurately and timeously.
