MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BCom Project Management / BSc / BTech in Mining or Engineering

Project Management Professional [preferred]

Business / Financial Management qualification [Advantageous]

Proficient in Microsoft Office [Excel, Projects, Word, and PowerPoint]

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in project management within the mining industry

Proven experience in managing large-scale mining projects (Shaft Sinking, Capital Development, Contract Mining, Trackless Mechanised Mining, Board and Pillar mining, underground construction)

Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations

Strategic thinking, enablement, and leadership skills

Sound analytical, logical reasoning, judgement, and decision-making skills

Ability to apply expertise and technology, deliver results and meet customer expectations

Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and resolve conflict

Passionate about safety leadership and engagement

Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking skills, with an in-depth understanding of contracts & projects financials

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, execute, and finalize mining projects according to strict deadlines and within budget

Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation

Maintain and improve stakeholder and client relationships to ensure smooth workflows and timeous project delivery
