Checking all Health & Safety issues around your workplace, equipment, and subordinates
Ensure the machine is assembled according to the procedures & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturer’s specifications
Inspect the hanging wall & make sure that it is safe
Check if eye bolts are secured
Clean footwall in accordance with procedure & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specifications
Line-up holes & drilling in accordance with marked spots, direction, procedure& Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specifications
Be able to work at heights
Monitoring the performance of the machine ensuring optimal performance
Ensure that the following daily maintenance is conducted in accordance with procedure & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturer’s specifications before commencing drilling:
- Routine maintenance of equipment, determining the causes of operating errors
- Hydraulic hoses & electric cabling to be suspended separately
- Electric pack doors to be kept closed in order to prevent water from entering electric pack
- No oil leaks on hydraulic power pack or machine
- Reporting of defects in equipment
- Monitoring & reporting malfunction of any device/ gauge on equipment
- Store equipment in a safe place on completion of drilling or on completion of working shift
- Be responsible and accountable for tools and equipment
