MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate or equivalent

Certificate of Competency as a Raisebore Operator

Competency A will be an advantage

A valid Trade Test Certificate will be an advantage

Valid Driver’s license & own reliable transport.

Must have no criminal record

Must be able to successfully pass all SAPS and Client screening processes

Must be medically fit to work underground

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

3 years underground experience as Raisebore Operator and 3 Years as a Raisebore Foreman

Operation, establishment, de-establishment, and maintenance of Raisebore and machines and equipment

Operation and management of Robotic Shaft Liner will be an added advantage

Must be able to work flexible hours and willing to relocate

Must be willing to relocate on a temporary basis to other African countries

Must be able to work at heights

Administration skills and computer literacy

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure overall compliance to Health and Safety requirements

Ensure Production Targets are met

Planning of stock, material, and equipment availability

Ensuring the machine and equipment is in a good and operational state

Preventing unplanned breakdowns and ensuring regular maintenance

Tool and equipment control

Management of personnel and working hours

Promoting good client relationships

Ensure all Health and Safety issues around the workplace, equipment and people are identified and eliminated

Ensure the machine is assembled according to the procedures and Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers’ specifications

Inspect the underground work area and ensure that it is safe.

Check if eyebolts are secured

Clean footwall in accordance with procedure & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specifications

Alignment of Raisebore machine.

Be able to work at heights

Must be able to interpret schedules and be schedule driven
