Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Interpret plans and record explosive usage for all types of firing undertaken.
  • Identify and remedy misfires.
  • Complete thorough re-entries to work areas.
  • Charge development headings.
  • Undertake stope preparation, charging and ring hook up.
  • Ensure all materials are used and all waste is disposed of in the environmentally approved manner
  • Ensure security over explosives
  • Strictly adhere and comply with all relevant site-based procedures and advice.
  • Conduct Workplace Inspections (eg Take 5's) and JSA's when required.

 

Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:

  • Manual drivers licence.
  • First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Current working at heights qualification.
