MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent

BSc/BEng/BTech in Mining or Engineering

Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency or GCC (Engineering – Mines & Works)

PMP certification (preferred)

Business or Financial Management qualification (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum 10 years of project management experience in a metalliferous mining environment

Proven success in managing industrial relations and union community engagement

Expertise in:

• Capital development
• Trackless mechanised mining
• Hard rock production
• Riase Drilling
• Diamond Drilling, Long-hole drilling, water sealing.
• Drop raising and orepass rehabilitation
• Bulkhead construction, settlers, underground silos, and conveyor belt construction

Strong knowledge of South African and cross-border mining legislation

Proficient in Estimating Software such as CCS (Construction Computer Software), Microsoft Office Suite or similar

Demonstrated ability to manage commercial contracts and achieve financial targets

Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple mining and construction projects

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are delivered on time and within budget

Manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with project goals

Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements

Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and contract management

Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement

Provide leadership in industrial relations and community engagement in unionized settings

Contribute to tendering processes and strategic project planning
